“The nomination this year felt awesome,” she exclaimed. “We work really hard throughout the year,so it feels like a confirmation for a good job. We’ve had a new song this year.”
Vincent will be co-hosting the 2020 IBMA award show along with Sierra Hull, Joe Newberry, and Tim O’Brien. The ceremony will take place remotely this year in a virtual fashion.
She is also featured in the new Jeannie Seely album, where she sings “All Through Crying Over You” with her. This song is a country shuffle that features Vincent, whose recent No. 1 hit, “Like I Could,” was written by Jeannie Seely. “I love Jeannie, she has been so good to me and she invited me to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry, so it doesn’t get any better than that,” Vincent said.
Vincent had nothing but the kindest words in loving memory of the late but great Country Music Hall of Famer Charlie Daniels. “I got to be in his final project, which he filmed during quarantine. I loved him so much and we are going to miss him greatly,” she said.
She also revealed that she has some fun projects down the pipeline. “I am on Dolly Parton’s new Christmas album and we are shooting a movie on Thursday with The Rage called ‘Southern Gospel.’ and I will be singing the opening song in the upcoming film The Farmer and the Belle as a duet with Justin Peters,” she said.
“We will also be doing 33 Christmas shows at the Andy Williams Moon River Theatre in Branson, Missouri, so that is pretty exciting too since we will have seven different guests. It is going to be a fun time,” she said.
