Rising country singer-songwriter Willie Lock released his poignant single “My Brother” on October 15, which is melancholically beautiful. Digital Journal has the scoop.
Lock wrote the song earlier in the tear after he heard that news that a friend of his has passed away, and he pays him a moving homage. The title is derived from the fact that the friend became so close to the male narrator in the song that he considers them family, hence his “brother.”
Lock allows his rich, rumbling vocals to shine on this song, where the listener can recall Aaron Watson meets Thomas Rhett, and this comparison ought to be taken as a compliment. His resonant voice is smooth as silk, and he puts the majority of the male “country” artists that are played on the contemporary radio airwaves to shame since his music is a real, meaningful story (and he embodies what the country genre is all about).
Anybody who has ever dealt with a loss will find it warm, raw, and relatable. Lock is not afraid to be sincere and vulnerable on this tune, and it will resonate well with fand and listeners.
“My Brother” is available on digital service providers by clicking here. It garners an A rating. Well done Willie Locke.
