“Manifest West” is an edgy new thriller starring Milo Gibson, the son of Oscar winner Mel Gibson, who is a gifted actor in his own right.

The movie will be available in theaters and on VOD/Digital on Friday, November 11, and it is released via Samuel Goldwyn Films. It was directed by Louie Gibson (who is also a son of Mel Gibson) and Joe Dietsch.

Aside from Milo Gibson starring as Dave Hayes, the cast features Annet Mahendru as Alice Hayes, Lexy Kolker as Riley Hayes, Tim Heidecker as Steve Danik, and Michael Cudlitz as Eric Lind.

This coming-of-age story is told through the eyes of a young 10-year-old girl whose family spirals out of control after they decide to live off the grid into the howling North American Wilderness.

It’s their new attempt to establish normalcy, thrive off the land, and escape the pressures of modern society. The family has its own internal pressures building, and you can’t escape what’s going on in your own household, no matter how far you move up a mountain.

The film had its world premiere at the Mammoth Film Festival, where it was named “Best Genre Film,” and rightfully so.

Milo Gibson delivers a tour-de-force performance as Dave, and his acting runs the gamut. He is not afraid to be raw, badass, and vulnerable; moreover, his scenes with Lexy Kolker will give the audience goosebumps since they really tug at the heartstrings.

Annet Mahendru is also fierce in the role of Alice. It is worth more than just a passing glance, and it garners two thumbs up. The audience ought to buckle up because this is one bumpy ride.

Compliments to Louie Gibson and Joe Dietsch for their solid vision in directing this film.
