Review: Jeff McBride showcases magic prowess on ‘Wake Up With the CW’

He was introduced as a three-time Guinness world record holder, as well as a Magic Castle “Magician of the Year” winner, among many other accolades to his credit.

McBride started off his magic set with a neat trick that involved a Styrofoam coffee cup, where he noted that by starting out his day with coffee, it will be filled with magical surprises, and he was spot on.

He was commended for his showmanship, and they showed a clip of McBride’s famous card manipulation act from Masters of Illusion. McBride revealed that one of the world records that he holds involves throwing the cards.

McBride subsequently displayed his sleight of hand techniques thanks to his deck of cards, which he described as a “magician’s piano.”

Aside from being a professional magician, he shared that he also teaches magic in his own magic school, The Magic and Mystery School.

The Verdict

Overall, Jeff McBride proved to be a seasoned veteran in the art of magic, with his sleight of hand and card throwing techniques. His television appearance on Wake Up With the CW was compelling and entertaining. It garnered an A rating.
