Review: Frankie Ballard electrifying on new single ‘Young and Crazy’ (Includes first-hand account)

“Young and Crazy” is the follow-up to his No. 1 single “Sunshine and Whiskey.” Ballard knows how to work the electric guitar, as seen in his song’s new music video.

The tune was co-penned by such songwriters as Rhett Akins, Ashley Gorley and Shane McAnally.

“I wanna sit out on the porch, Telling stories ’bout my glory days when I’m pushing 80, How am I ever gonna get to be old and wise,” Ballard sings.

The Verdict

Overall, Frankie Ballard’s new single is spitfire yet a great deal of fun. It has a youthful and rebellious vibe to it, which his listeners can easily relate. It is easily one of his best musical works to date, and it earns an A rating. At this rate, Ballard is destined to become the next Keith Urban in the genre.
