Review: Cody Simpson delightful on ‘No Woman No Cry’ cover video (Includes first-hand account)

His vocals are refreshing, crisp and moving on “No Woman No Cry.” It gives the listener a calming and laid-back feel. Simpson has the ability to take songs from other artists and make them his own. He is one of the most underrated male pop artists in contemporary music.

The music video’s cinematography is stunning, and Simpson is seen playing acoustic guitar, as he sings the tune’s catchy chorus. Towards the end, he switches over to electric guitar, and he nails it.

The Verdict

Cody Simpson is constantly proving to his fans that his artistry and sound are always maturing. He has grown substantially as a musician over the years. His heartfelt version of “No Woman No Cry” garners an A rating. It is safe to say that the legendary Bob Marley is smiling up in heaven.
