Review: Chris Young delivers on ‘Hangin’ On’ country single (Includes first-hand account)

The song is mid-tempo, refreshing and liberating. His song’s music video features stunning cinematography, with cool beach scenes. “Hangin’ On” has been played consistently on New York’s hit country music station NASH FM 94.7. It sits at No. 18 on the Billboard Hot Country Airplay charts, and climbing.

Speaking of NASH FM 94.7, this song resonated well with country fans and listeners when Young performed it live at his “Up Close and Country” event on August 7, which was held at the radio station’s Hackensack Meridian Health Stage 17, which was co-hosted by Jesse Addy and Katie Neal.

Young will be back in the New York area on December 7, 2018, where he will be headlining the NYCB Live at Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale on Long Island.

“Hangin’ On” is available on iTunes.

The Verdict

Overall, “Hangin’ On” deserves to become Chris Young’s next chart-topping single on country radio. He possesses one of the smoothest baritone voices in the contemporary country scene. The single garners 4.5 out of 5 stars
