Review: Ashley Campbell fabulous on Glen Campbell’s ‘I’ll Be Me’ album (Includes first-hand account)

Ashley sings lead on “Remembering,” which is a nostalgic and soothing vocal. Her voice is warm and delicate, and it is the highlight for the first half of the album.

She also sings lead on her version of “Home Again,” which is a vocal masterpiece. Her vocals are mellifluous, controlled, crystalline and gentle. It will certainly draw tears on her listeners’ eyes, and her father, Glen, would be proud of her stellar rendition. Ashley lures the listener in from the first line and commands one’s attention for the duration of the entire tune. The listener can recall Lee Ann Womack meets Alison Krauss meets Carolyn Dawn Johnson.

“Home again, I turned my collar to the wind started home again, Home again, a place where I can find the friends that’s home again,” she sings.

The Verdict

Overall, Ashley Campbell deserves to become the next big female country star. Her talent is tremendous and it is abundant in her family genes. It is the quintessential homage to her father. Both of her vocals on the Glen Campbell soundtrack album earn A ratings.
