RaeLynn talks ‘Love Triangle’ single and new ‘Wildhorse’ album (Includes interview)

This past Friday, RaeLynn performed at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, where she opened for country superstar Blake Shelton. “I felt like it went incredible. It was such an electric crowd, and to play at the arena in Brooklyn was awesome,” RaeLynn said.

Regarding her single “Love Triangle,” RaeLynn said, “I wrote this song when I was 18 years old about my parent’s divorce, how it felt to be really just stuck in the middle. I never honestly thought that it was going to be a single. I thought that it was going to be on my album, and I knew that it was a song that needed to be heard and it needed to be talked about.”

The feedback she has received from the song “Love Triangle” from her fans and peers has been exceptional. “It is awesome to hear all the stories and to hear how the song is relating to people. Over 51 percent of marriages end in divorce, and that’s a crazy number,” she said.

Her debut album Wildhorse will be released on December 2 via her new label, Warner Music Nashville. “I am just so excited. I have been working on this record for four years putting it together. The fans have been waiting for years for my debut record, and I am grateful that they finally get to get it,” she said.

RaeLynn added, “This is an album that is 100 percent me and so different than anything I’ve ever done, and I’m so excited for everybody to hear it.”

Aside from country mega-star Blake Shelton, she listed John Mayer as her dream male duet choice, since she “loves his music.”
