Perry subtle diss at Super Bowl in ongoing Taylor Swift feud

During Perry’s routine, her back-up dancers were dressed in swimsuits identical to the one Swift wore a few years ago. At the time, the bikini that Swift wore became a hot item for online shoppers on a par with Frankies Bikinis. Reusing the same suit for her show, but not appearing in it herself was just another in an ongoing string of digs and insults the two singers have been throwing at each other for years.

If you haven’t been following the feud, you would probably have missed it and many of the viewers did, but for those who are aware of the story behind the public feuding, it was revealing. The feud started in 2013 when Swift accused Perry of stealing her back up dancers.

Three dancers, who were originally with Perry, left Swift’s employment and went back to Perry while she was on tour. Swift was upset about the move, claiming that she considered them “family.” The incident inspired Swift to write the song “Bad Blood” and the feud has been growing ever since.

“For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not,” Swift explained the feud in an interview. “She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, ‘Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?”

Don’t expect the bad blood between the two female singers to end any time soon. Friends of Swift are already saying that she will get back at Perry in some way.

“She will do it via music video or other high profile situation. Taylor wants the last laugh,” an anonymous source told HollywoodLife.com.

For the fans, though, the escalating and amusing series of nasty tweets, harsh words and subtle digs are all par for the course when dealing with talents of this caliber and egos of this magnitude.
