Op-Ed: Angelina Alexon is the ‘One to Watch in 2018’

Her a cappella version of Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas For You” is sheer perfection, where her voice is simultaneously powerful and soothing, and she alternates between different vocal registers with ease.

For anybody that has any doubts about Alexon’s talent, all they need to see is her “”One Girl 15 Voices” video on YouTube, which has gone viral and rightfully so. She is able to tackle such powerhouse vocalists as Ariana Grande (“Into You”), coupled with Mariah Cary’s “Dreamlover,” all while showcasing her whistle notes. She is able to take her fans on a Celine Dion adventure with her rendition of “I’m Alive,” prior to taking us back to old school Britney with “Baby One More Time.”

Alexon shows the versatility of her talent by covering Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” and Selena Gomez’ “Hands to Myself.” Her sassy version of Shakira’s “Whenever Wherever” is a breath of fresh air. She is able to belt out Christina Aguilera’s “Ain’t No Other Man” effortlessly, prior to throwing some dance/disco in the mix with Cher’s “Believe.” She is able to replicate Ellie Goulding’s “Love Me Like You Do” to the tee, and she displays her sultry vocals on Amy Winehouse’s “Valerie.” Thalia’s “Dicen Por ahi” is a delicate performance that really allows her atmospheric voice to shine. She does Katy Perry’s “Dark Horse” better than the original, and the medley of covers concludes with Sia’s “Alive” and Bebe Rexha’s crisp “I Got You.” All in all, Alexon does all these 15 internationally recognized divas justice.

Let’s see what 2018 has in store for Angelina Alexon and her own artistry!
