Hallmark actress Lily Anne Harrison sat down and chatted at the RomaDrama Live! fan event that took place at West Palm Beach in Florida from June 24 to 26.
“It feels great to be here,” Harrison exclaimed about RomaDrama Live! “It has been so much fun connecting with the fans. It has been lovely.”
On being an actress in the digital age, Harrison said, “It’s exciting, it’s a very exciting time because there is more content out there and there are more platforms for that content so it feels like the world is expanding in a really beautiful way.”
She is drawn to the Hallmark genre and community for many reasons. “It is very rewarding to be a part of a network that turns out material that makes people feel good. It’s a very special thing to be a part of, especially in times of great anxiety and fear. These movies make people feel good and they add to making people feel good every day. That’s my favorite part of it.”
Harrison is the daughter of actor Gregory Harrison and actress and model Randi Oakes. She has appeared in episodes of the YouTube series “Two Guys One Truck” and Fremantle’s “The Craft Store.”
Her first professional job came with her appearance in an episode of The CW hit series “One Tree Hill.”
She has appeared in a number of feature films, including “Fair Haven,” “Breaking and Exiting, and “The Year of Spectacular Men.”
For young and aspiring actors, she encouraged them to “buckle up.” “Sometimes, the best advice given is that the word ‘no’ is a push in the right direction, you just don’t know what is coming for you. Then, it’s all a redirection in your path. Never take ‘no’ as an absolute,” she explained.
She has studied acting, screenwriting, and improvisation at various schools and in several programs in Los Angeles, most notably, The Groundlings School of Improv, Margie Haber Studio, Lesly Kahn & Company, Ivana Chubbuck Studio, and UCLA.
In her personal life, she is expecting her first child with fellow actor Peter Facinelli.
She listed Idris Elba as her dream acting partner. “I have a long list of dream acting partners. Don’t tell my fiance,” she said with a sweet laugh. “I would also love to work with Meryl Streep, who wouldn’t want to work with her.”
On the title of the current chapter of her life, Harrison said, “To Be Continued…” “This chapter is defined for me by really coming into myself in a very holistic way as a woman, artist, partner, and as a daughter,” she said.
If she were to have any superpower, she revealed that it would be flight because it looks “very exhilarating.”
Regarding her definition of the word success, she said, “Fulfillment and peace of mind.”
For her dedicated fans, she said, “Thank you, the fans are amazing, they are so committed and the best. It is such an honor for anybody to ever watch your work ever as a performer. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
