Review: Jessie Chris wows on ‘Today’ show performance of ‘Burn’ single (Includes first-hand account)

She was briefly interviewed by Today show anchors Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb, where they introduced her as radio host Elvin Duran’s “Artist of the Month.” She has shared the stage with Luke Bryan, and Scotty McCreery, among others. “We are so excited. This is her new single ‘Burn’,” Duran said.

It was followed by a stunning performance of her single “Burn,” where she was accompanied by a full band, as she played acoustic guitar. Jessie Chris looked as beautiful as ever, as she serenaded the Today show audience and viewers at home with this spitfire break-up anthem, which she co-wrote with David Spencer.

The Verdict

Overall, her live performance on Today of “Burn,” was as impressive as when she sang it live on NASH FM 94.7’s Stage 17. Jessie Chris is one of contemporary country music’s most underrated artists, and she deserves all the recognition and success that is coming her way. Her live version of “Burn” earned an A. Well done.
