Live streaming producers BackStory Events have teamed with Parade magazine and Parade’s official website for a special event with John Oates. This event will take place on April 19 at 6 p.m. at The Cutting Room in New York City. It will be live streamed on Parade magazine’s website at Parade.com/oates, as well as on its YouTube channel and Facebook page.
Aside from the live interview, it will include an acoustic performance and meet and greet with the veteran rock sensation as he discusses his new memoir, Change of Seasons. In his new book, Oates shares insights about meeting and teaming up with Daryl Hall in the 60’s, thus developing a musical style that was unique. Hall & Oates is the most successful musical duo in history, and he is able to tell his own story. Oates relies on handwritten journals as he shares the stories in Change of Seasons. The book deals with the highs, lows, triumphs and failures; moreover, he takes his readers on a wild ride through the years, personalities, and the music that have molded him into who he is today.
At The Cutting Room, Oates will be interviewed by acclaimed journalist Brad Tolinksi, who is the author of Play It Loud and Light and Shade: Conversations with Jimmy Page.
