Earlier this month, Rodgers was inducted into the coveted Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, where he received an “Award for Musical Excellence,” and rightfully so.
Philip Bailey, the co-founder of Earth, Wind & Fire, praised Nile Rodgers and Chic for being “legendary” performers due to their “iconic style,” as well as their “song, sound and groove.” “Get ready for a non-stop 2054 party!” Bailey exclaimed.
Rodgers returned the favor by saying some favorable remarks about co-headliners Earth, Wind & Fire in a press statement. “There was a time when we could only dream of ‘seeing’ Earth, Wind & Fire live, now we get the honor of sharing the stage together,” Rodgers said.
