Jo Weil to reprise Frank Farmer role in ‘Bodyguard — The Musical’

“Finally, the cat is out of the bag,” he said, in a social media post, prior to announcing that he will be returning to The Bodyguard.

Weil is very proud and happy to be taking over the main role (and the title role) of Frank Farmer, which was made famous by Kevin Costner, on the first German tour of the musical production. “I am so excited,” he admitted.

He revealed that actress and singer Aisata Blackman will be playing the role of Rachel Marron, which was made famous by the late but great Whitney Houston in the 1992 film The Bodyguard. Weil shared that he is looking forward to working with her.

Aside from the classic ballad “I Will Always Love You,” it will feature such musical numbers as “I Wanna Dance with Somebody”, “I’m Every Woman” and “All the Man That I Need.”
