Actress Angela Grovey chatted about being a part of “Reasonable Doubt” on Hulu, and the digital age.
On her experience in “Reasonable Doubt” on Hulu, she said, I have had a wonderful time as a member of the ‘Reasonable Doubt’ Family and feel very proud of the producing team and Onyx Collective.”
She is drawn to her character Krystal for several reasons. “I love how Krystal supports Jax even when they don’t agree. Krystal isn’t afraid to speak up when she feels like she has something to say that might help Jax. Supporting strong and powerful people like Jax can be challenging but Krystal is built for this kind of challenge,” she said.
On being an actress in the digital age, she said, “I’m honored to be acting and welcomed into all of the spaces. It’s been exciting to hear friends and family check in with each other and make sure they all have Hulu so they can watch the show.”
For young and aspiring actors, Grovey said, “You are enough! Don’t compare your journey to someone else.”
She hopes that there will be additional seasons of “Reasonable Doubt.” “My future plans include spending more time in Los Angeles and getting to know more people and continuing to work on my craft,” she said.
Regarding her definition of success, she said, “Success means waking up in the morning and being able to look at yourself in the mirror. Being able to go to sleep and rest because you are at peace. Life can be very tricky nowadays with so many distractions that I have to measure success for myself. Being a good hardworking human makes me feel like I’m successful.”
On the new show, she concluded, “‘Reasonable Doubt’ is a spicy new scripted series on Hulu about a criminal defense attorney named Jax. The show takes you on the daily ‘adventures’ Jax faces including her life with friends, navigating her family, and the ups and downs of her work life. While watching the show I guarantee you will have strong options about all of the characters and you will have some doubts of your own.”
