Hunter Hayes honored with fan engagement YouTube award

He is in an elite company, with such mega-stars as Beyonce, Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran, for the 2015 YouTube Music Awards.

This award was given to artists with the greatest growth in page views, subscribers and engagement over the last six month. The complete list of this year’s winners may be seen by clicking here.

“I always think of music as more of a dialogue, you know. It’s not just about me sharing my stories with other people, but about listening to theirs as well. It’s this beautiful experience we share together, and technology gives us a way to continue that conversation,” Hayes remarked in a press statement.

The Atlantic Nashville recording artist added, “It’s awesome that so many fans tune in every week to see what we’re up to. I love having that connection with them.”

In January of 2015, Hayes took home the People’s Choice Award for “Best Male Country Artist.”

This summer, Hayes will be touring with Grammy-winning country group Lady Antebellum and Sam Hunt on the “Wheels Up Tour,” and one of their tour stops will be at the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, New York.
