Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao dominate highest-paid celeb list

In the world’s highest-paid athlete’s list released earlier by Forbes, Mayweather and Pacquiao also took the first and second spot respectively.

According to Forbes, Mayweather banked $300 million for the 12-month under review while Pacquiao shared $160 million of their so called “Fight of the Century” which generated over $500 million in gross revenues.

Singer-actress Katy Perry, took the No. 3 spot in the list with $135 million earnings for the past 12 months, mostly coming from revenues of her foreign concerts.

Taking the fourth spot is One Direction, the world’s biggest boy band. Like Perry, they also derived the bulk of their income from foreign engagements.

Ranked No.5 is Howard Stern, a famous radio-TV personality, with $95 million.

No.6 in the Forbes ranking is Garth Brooks, also a musician with $90 million. At No. 7 is James Patterson, an American author, with $89 million. Ranked No. 8 is Robert Downey, Jr., an American actor, with $80 million. No.9 is American actress-singer Taylor Swift, the youngest (at 25) in the Top 10 of the list, with $80 million and Cristiano Ronaldo, a Portuguese football player, with $79.5 million.
