Serving in the capacity of escape artist, Horsman revealed that he will be doing a “new revamped version of his aqua-phobia escape,” which people may be familiar with from his tenure on America’s Got Talent. “It is a little big larger, and I am restrained with four times the amounts of locks and chains on me. The nice thing about it is that the escape is all in full view, and I am actually hanging and spinning,” he said. “I am pushing record times too with the length that I am underwater, holding my breath and doing the escape. It is definitely an exciting piece,” he added.
Horsman noted that he will be performing the classic “metamorphosis” illusion with “femme fatale” magician Krystyn Lambert. “This is one my favorite pieces from Criss’ history of performing, and it has been exciting learning his style and technique in pulling that off,” he said. “Criss is definitely the fastest magician I’ve seen doing the metamorphosis.”
Each day, Horsman is motivated simply by his infectious love for entertainment. “It has always been something that I had an interest in doing, and it has always been a part of me. I just like entertaining people,” he said.
When asked if he is going for any Guinness World records in the future, he said, “For me, at the end of the day, it comes to the entertainment factor, and not necessarily records. It’s the general public that comes and sees the shows, and they are the ones that keep us moving and doing what we keep doing. If I happen to hit one by accident, sure. I want to make sure that the audience enjoys what they are watching.”
For their loyal fans, he concluded, “Thank you for coming and supporting us. It is nice that people appreciate the efforts that we put out. I don’t need to be famous, I just want to know that everybody is having a good time. Then, my job is done.”
Horsman defined success as putting other people’s satisfaction and happiness in life before his own. “Success for a lot of people means money or fame. You don’t become a magician to become rich and famous, any magician will tell you that. You do it because you like the art and you like entertaining,” he concluded.
