This new documentary will chronicle the late singer’s life from childhood, to stardom to her tragic death. A trailer for the documentary, spanning less than 90 seconds, has been released.
“Singing has always been important to me, but I never thought I would end up singing or being a singer. I just thought I am lucky that it’s something I can always do, if I wanted to. I am so lucky like that,” Winehouse is heard saying in the trailer’s background.
It scrutinizes her initial belief, where she does not feel that fame will come her way, especially since she does not feel that she would be able to handle it. It will be in cinemas on July 3.
The film’s official trailer may be seen in an article in the Daily Mail website.
Throughout her career, Winehouse won five Grammy awards for her work on her Back to Black album, especially her hit single “Rehab.” She was posthumously awarded an additional Grammy award for “Best Pop/Duo Group Performance” for “Body and Soul,” her collaboration with veteran entertainer Tony Bennett.
Winehouse died tragically from accidental alcohol poisoning on July 23, 2011, at the age of 27.
