The past year has seen huge growth in the popularity, utilization and dialogue around Web3 and NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens). Not surprisingly, most of the activity in this space has focused on traditional collectible assets such as memorabilia and artwork. Now, however, new asset classes in the NFT market are emerging. Two companies have joined forces so enthusiasts of the cannabis industry can enjoy a unique ownership experience and generate vested value.

Trufflez Inc., a fully licensed and vertically integrated premium cannabis company, and droppLabs, the leading holistic Web3 solutions provider, recently released a ground-breaking NFT offering, TrufflezNFT. The project utilizes NFTs to register and fractionalize the intellectual property rights inherent in the trademarks and copyrights of new proprietary cannabis strains. Every NFT will own an IP stake related to a specific legalized grow room in the Trufflez 70,000 square-foot super cultivation facility in downtown LA.

Each IP NFT backed grow room will develop a proprietary cannabis strain and NFT holders will share in the profits from the sales. The profits and ownership are not based on the cannabis itself but rather the IP used in the packaging and merchandising of each strain.

The campaign also features an engagement-intensive “gamification” element. The rooms are split into a ‘Good Vs. Evil’ superhero style battle with each character featuring individualized attributes making them one-of-a-kind assets. The competition among rooms centers around the success of the associated strains, creating a battle for market penetration, cultural relevance and of course the ultimate success factor – sales. The NFT owners of the winning room will earn airdropped ownership in the next cannabis brand IP and room.

The result is a cutting-edge project asset that promotes engagement, transparency and value for all stakeholders. “Since its launch, Trufflez has rightfully earned its place as one of the leaders in the cannabis industry by providing exceptional and safe products. The premium nature of the product has attracted many A-List celebrity fans of the brand such as Money Bagg Yo, Offset, A Boogie. Even the Godfather of kush Snoop has been seen smoking pound bags of Trufflez.

“As droppLabs we are proud to power Trufflez’s Web3 leadership position in the cannabis industry. This exciting innovation builds on Trufflez’s top quality product by empowering customers and driving vested value through powerful Web3 driven relationships. Trufflez’s loyal fan base is in for a treat as they will now be aligned with the upside of Trufflez as a company as well as the strains that they are consumers of.” said Joe Sticca, Chief Product Officer of droppLabs.

Since its unveiling earlier this month, the wait-list for the TrufflezNFT has already generated very substantial interest and discourse among followers. The partnership also hosts a dedicated Discord group where members can interact and access unique content as well as relevant promotions.

With the growth in popularity of tokenized asset ownership and legalization of cannabis around the country, this space is sure to see continued activity. “This is just the first of many technological innovations we will be releasing with Trufflez”, added Sticca, who also explained how droppLabs is enabling companies across many industries. “Our patented tech stack and know-how allow us to nimbly create and weaponize our partners’ assets to deliver real value for consumers. We turn fans into owners who now have a vested interest in a project’s success and the ability to directly participate in campaigns”.
