”No More Enrons” Day Of Action Events Nationwide

WASHINGTON – Former Enron employees, elected officials and concerned citizens
from across the United States will participate in “National Day of
Action” events in over 30 states on Wednesday, April 3 calling on
the Bush administration to make certain that there are “no more
Enrons.”

Participants nationwide will insist on answers to issues
that this White House continues to support a corporate agenda that
neglects working families and ultimately allowed for the collapse
of Enron.

Sponsored by American Family Voices (AFV) and its coalition of
partners, the nationwide events will be highlighting a video that
takes the viewer through Enron’s sordid rise and the years of
government deregulation that allowed for its collapse.

The local events will be kicked-off by an anchor-rally in
Washington, D.C. AFV members will be joined by Enron-affected
citizens and leaders in the economic, environmental and labor
communities and numerous other supporters.

Speakers: Mike Lux, executive director, AFV; James Carville,
consultant and AFV member; Karen Friedman, Pension Rights Center;
Hans Riemer, Campaign for America’s Future; Margaret Conway, Sierra
Club; and Ron Richardson, Hotel Employees and Restaurant Employees.

WHERE & WHEN: Capitol Hilton (The Pan American Room), 16th & K Streets,
NW, Washington, D.C. ; Wednesday, April 3, at 10:30 a.m.
