CFRB 1010 Toronto Going DigiBiz

TORONTO – Canada’s number one talk and AM station, CFRB 1010 Toronto, signed a broadcast deal with CBN (Canada’s Business Network) to provide a full lineup of business programming.
Beginning today, CBN will provide 23 daily business reports including
market reviews, The Wall Street Journal Report, The Reuters Market
Update and live hits with CFRB anchors.

“Financial news has always been important to CFRB 1010. This new
collaboration will provide CFRB listeners with enhanced market news and
business news they can use,” said CFRB’s Operations Manager Steve Kowch.

“It’s easier to follow the money on CFRB with Reuters, Wall Street
Journal reports and market updates twice an hour when the financial
markets are open in Toronto and New York,” stated Kowch. “We’re excited
that Toronto’s most respected market analyst Fred Ketchen will be heard
five times a day on CFRB. His expertise will go a long way in providing
CFRB listeners with the informed opinion they need to understand the
markets and make the right investment decisions.”

Canada’s Business Network is a venture of Canada NewsWire (CNW) and TRI
Strategic Entertainment Ltd. The business news organization, launched in
November, provides editorialized business programming serving broadcast
media, the financial community and the Internet. The CFRB deal is a
testament to the talent and program schedule that can be delivered to
the broadcast market.

“We have committed to an aggressive business programming schedule for
CFRB that entails market numbers, breaking stories, and analysis,” said
Bryan Woodruff, President and General Manager of CBN. “We’ve developed a
good combination of customized reports and features that will make CFRB
a leader in business content on radio.”

Business programming for CFRB will be voiced by Canada’s Business
Network editorial team including Fred Ketchen, Robert Graham, Donna
Guzik and Arnis Peterson.

Canada’s Business Network is the largest supplier of broadcast business
news and information in Canada. The CBN Newsroom produces a total of 51
business reports daily that are syndicated by Sound Source Networks to
radio stations across Canada.
