The Sony Entertainment Network online store is now operational for the PC. Users no longer have to own a Playstation 3 console to purchase digital products from Sony.

There have been news of a recent patent filed by Sony Entertainment of Japan. There is speculation that it could have an affect on the Playstation 4 console which is under development.

Tokyo - In the wake of the Japanese earthquake and hacking attacks on its Playstation network, electronics giant Sony is expected to post its biggest loss in sixteen years.

Once again, Sony is warning more gamers their personal information may have been stolen by the same thieves who first breached the PlayStation Network, the company said Monday. Close to 24.6 million Sony Online Entertainment users may have been affected.
