Addis Ababa -
A deal to try to end the conflict that has been raging, if somewhat under the radar, in the Democratic Republic of Congo for many years now, was signed today in the Ethiopian capital of Addis Ababa through the United Nations.
Britain has confirmed it is freezing £21 million ($33.6 million) of aid to Rwanda, after United Nations reports implicated the east African nation in the neighboring Democratic Republic of Congo’s eight-month insurgency.
Local media outlets are reporting that 100 women have been sexually assaulted and injured over a two-day time period. Suspected Congo rebels are accused of being involved in the latest case of mass rape.
