Buffalo moved one step closer to playing in the MAC Championship by winning their seventh straight football game, the longest streak the school has had in 55 years with a solid 30-3 victory over Ohio on Tuesday night.

Louisville's defense is leading the nation in points allowed per game and they came up big again on Thursday night with another solid effort as the eighth ranked Cardinals won a tough ACC game with Rutgers 24-10.

The Louisville Cardinals kept their BCS Championship hopes alive and well on Saturday as they thrashed the Temple Owls 30-7. The win improved the team to 5-0 on the year as they once again played a terrific all around game.

Florida won their SEC college football opener at home on Saturday, but it wasn't all good news as the Gators lost senior quarterback Jeff Driskel for the rest of the season with a broken leg.

USC entered Saturday afternoon's college football game against Utah State knowing they had to stop Aggies' quarterback Chuckie Keeton, but the defense not only slowed down the star quarterback, they harassed him all day as the Trojans won 17-14.

Clemson's high powered offense was sluggish on Thursday night, but quarterback Tajh Boyd and the Tigers defense were enough to hold off the Wolfpack 26-14 in the ACC opener for both teams.

Georgia entered the second week of the 2013 college football season needing a win after the loss to Clemson last Saturday and senior quarterback Aaron Murray led the charge as the Bulldogs defeated the sixth ranked South Carolina Gamecocks 41-30.
