Op-Ed: Titanic, Costa Concordia captains had hubris, not ferry captain

The terrible tragedy that is the sinking of the South Korean ferry 'Sewol' is being compared to the Costa Concordia tragedy and even the Titanic. But a large difference is that the captain of the South Korean ferry made errors, but not errors of hubris.

Design firm signs on to build replica Titanic, the Titanic II

It's the centenary of the sinking in 1912 of the RMS Titanic and a plan announced by Aussie billionaire Clive Palmer in April to build a new Titanic is still afloat. Palmer has signed a design firm, Finnish-based Deltamarin, and plans are moving forward.

MTV plans concert in Ireland to mark R.M.S. Titanic centenary

There's a host of events in 2012 throughout the world to mark the 100 year anniversary of the sinking of the RMS Titanic and pop music isn't going to be left out. MTV announced Feb. 29 they will host a music fest in Belfast, Ireland to honor the ship.
