The Sony Entertainment Network online store is now operational for the PC. Users no longer have to own a Playstation 3 console to purchase digital products from Sony.

A launch trailer for the just released Playstation Network (PSN) game called "Haunt the House: Terrortown" shows how fun it is to be a ghost and scare people.

The soon-to-be released Playstation Portable (PSP) game called "Gunhound EX" has a new trailer that's available for viewing. This game will be available in Japan for the PSP on January 31.

Sony announces a 13 hour downtime for Monday April 16, 2012 for scheduled maintenance. PSN users will not be able to access PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home, Account Management or play online.

Beginning on Saturday, Sony relaunched service for its PlayStation Network from being offline, due to a breach in security, in countries all across the world except for Japan.

Playstation Network is starting to come back online again. For now users can only download the latest firmware patch, but later tonight some aspects of online game play is coming back online.

For over a week more than 70 million users of the Sony Playstation Network, 3 million in the UK alone, have been unable to access their accounts and yesterday the reason became apparent.

The PlayStation Network has now been down for more than 15 hours, with Sony still working on a fix, but the news gets even more comical for PS3 owners. Sony is now warning users not to turn on their PS3 until the problems have been fixed.
