Church discloses Mormon founder Joseph Smith had 40 wives

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, the Mormon Church, surprised many of their members and the public last month. In an essay posted on the LDS website, the Church officially acknowledged that founder Joseph Smith was a polygamist.
