World Cup: Watch the stunning header goal by Robin Van Persie

After taking a soaring downfield pass, Van Persie leapt across the pitch to strike the ball perfectly. The ball glanced off Van Persie’s forehead to find the back of the net.

The goal tied the match against Spain 1-1 just minutes before halftime.

Many soccer fans uploaded video of the goal on YouTube, such as the embed above.

The Netherlands won their first match 5-1.

Later today, Chile takes on Australia. Tomorrow features the highly anticipated battle between England and Italy, and also Uruguay versus Costa Rica.
