SEC Football: Ole’ Miss on top in latest recruiting rankings

Shea Patterson is ranked as the third best player in the nation and the best high school quarterback in the nation. His verbal commitment to Mississippi, along with offensive lineman Greg Little, give this program the only school in the nation with two five-star recruits heading their way.

Patterson has some help coming his way with two four-star skilled position players also giving verbals. Wide receiver DeKaylin Metcalf and running back Justin Connor could give fans plenty to cheer about over the next few years and possibly the players this school needs to reach the NCAA Football Playoffs.

The Wolverines have overtaken Ohio State in the Big 10 with a good week. Michigan has 23 commitments ready to take this program to the next level, led by quarterback Brandon Peters and running back Kareem Walker. Both of these youngsters have high expectations and with Jim Harbaugh now in control, these youngsters could be playing in the NFL in four or five years.

Ole’ Miss isn’t the only SEC school doing well heading towards National Signing Day. Four other programs are in the latest Yahoo top-10 rankings.

Florida has turned the corner with its outstanding 2015 season. With 25 verbals, including several talented play makers on offense, the Gators are looking to build off the terrific season they had and once again become one of the best football teams in the nation.

Auburn, Alabama, and LSU are also having a terrific recruiting season with each school hoping to add the players they need to win a championship, but with all the talk centering around the big conferences, Notre Dame has quietly entered the mix with the fourth best class in the nation.
