2017 NFL Mock Draft: Deshaun Watson top option for Chicago Bears?

Averaging 375 yards per game, this team is second to last in points scored, leading several NFL experts to speculate that change from behind center is coming. With the franchise now in rebuild mode, it’s a perfect time to find the next offensive leader and it will likely come in next year’s draft.

Rumors of Cutler being moved to another team are becoming commonplace on social media and Hoyer’s age makes it difficult to believe he’s the answer long-term. Walter Football believes the front office will take a young quarterback in the first round and has Clemson All American Deshaun Watson as the best option.

Watson would be the first real duel-threat QB this team has had in years. His ability to run makes him dangerous, but his strong arm and ability to make any throw, would give head coach John Fox a big weapon, especially in the red zone where this squad has struggled.

Draft Site also believes this team needs help on offense, but suggests a running back is the answer. Leonard Fournette of LSU has the combination of speed and power that could make him a difference maker at the NFL level and for such a beast in the back field, he has the ability to catch passes, helping the team anywhere on the field.

Management will need to answer some tough questions over the off-season, but with the quality of players in this year’s draft class, making those decisions could be made easier. Both of these young men are terrific examples of players that could become the new face of the franchise for the Chicago Bears and help lead this football team into the future.
