2016 NFL Mock Draft: Tennessee Titans updated 3 round projections

It really doesn’t matter where this team picks as they have some clear needs. Help on both lines and a running back are the top priorities, it’s just a matter of which round they use in April to fill these holes.

The latest mock from Ryan McCrystal of Bleacher Report has the team using its top selection on Ohio State’s defensive lineman Joey Bosa, a game-changing defensive stopper who can play on the inside, but also has enough athletic ability to play on the end if needed.

Offensive line is another concern and a number of football experts are projecting Ole’ Miss offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil will get the nod in the opening round. In either case, both of these young men will need to step in and play good football for this franchise to start winning more than 3-4 games in 2016.

Depending on the direction they go, the second round will likely fill the gap left after the first round. Eddie Brown of The San Diego Union-Tribune has released his latest mock and has Tennessee taking Adolphus Washington, who played along side Bosa with the Buckeyes.

With both lines being addressed in rounds one and two, the front office can add depth in the secondary or at running back, both positions need an upgrade in talent and should get some young talent added, depending on what happens during the NFL free agent signing period.

Walter Football has Alabama safety Eddie Jackson as the third round selection and while these picks aren’t glamorous, they will make this a much better football team by building a foundation in the trenches, giving the Titans a much better opportunity to win football games in the future.
