Chris Jehnert sat down and chatted with Digital prior to their September 8th concert at Mulcahy's Pub and Concert Hall. Jehnert discussed several of his special performances this summer, as well as the digital transformation of music.

"It feels wonderful to be here. The summer is leaving, and the fall is coming, and we are coming," he said, about returning to Mulcahy's.
This past July, Larger Than Life shared the stage with O-Town and Ryan Cabrera. "It has been quite a dream. I used to listen to Ryan Cabrera a lot actually. Out of all the boys I know his music the most, so I was really excited for all the songs that he performed."
Getting the opportunity to also perform with Joey Fatone from N SYNC was "essentially a dream come true" as well for Jehnert. "Our whole career is based on tribute bands, and then to actually be performing and dancing with the real guy on stage was super cool," he said.
This year, the touring experience was a great deal of fun for Jehnert, and something he looked forward to his whole life. "Touring has been everything I've wanted in my career. I love seeing the world, and I've never been able to on my own accord, so getting the chance to do it with music is everything I could ask for. Meeting all these different people and fans around the country has been awesome. It has been more than I could ever ask for," he said.
Digital transformation of music
"Technology has made all music more accessible," Jehnert acknowledged. "It used to be, you would hear a song on the radio and go to the store and buy the album, but now with the Internet and streaming services, Spotify and iTunes, you can hear music everywhere and you can find indie artists who don't have a big following, and find music you would have never been able to hear before through somebody's Instagram or YouTube."
Jehnert uses technology avidly, where he is big on social media. "Instagram is my favorite. On YouTube, I put up a lot of live performances I do with or without the group. I think it's just good for getting our name out there, and getting to connect with other people around the world, who are also musicians. I like to use it to collaborate, so I find other artists out there that I would like to work with."
He had nothing but the nicest words about such entertainers as magician Jessica Jane and electronic artist Joey Suarez. "I love Jessica, and Joey is so talented," he said.
