Lee, is best known for his stage presence, as well as his No. 1 crossover hit "Lookin’ for Love." He noted in a press release that he "had to wait until Mickey Gilley was dead before he could write his book," but he noted that Gilley is going to outlive all of them.
"I am just going ahead and putting everything out there. I share all of those highs and lows in this book," the country crooner said in a press release. It is a book that will make people laugh and cry. "I cried as I was writing it. And there will times when you might be shocked. But it's all true," he added.
Still Lookin’ for Love was written by Lee with Scot England, and it was subsequently published by England Media. The book is his first autobiography and it includes forewords by some of his closest friends, which include iconic country artists Mickey Gilley and Moe Bandy.
Country fans and readers will be afforded an in-depth look at Lee's illustrious career in country music, as well as his life prior to his big hits. He will share stories about a secret marriage, beating color cancer and the story behind Urban Cowboy, the movie (starring John Travolta) that changed Lee's life forever. The book is comprised of over 150 exclusive photographs from Lee's personal collection.
