With the announcement over the weekend that Michael Vick has been signed to the New York Jets, a social media advocacy campaign was launched in an effort to remove Vick from the Jets roster.

The announcement on Saturday that Michael Vick has been signed to the New York Jets has met some resistance, as Vick's dark past in his cruelty to dogs during the period in which he founded and operated Bad Newz Kennels resurfaced this week.
A loose advocacy coalition to oust Vick was formed on Wednesday, and a Kick Out Vick social media and letter-writing campaign was begun.
The Kick Out Vick Movement launched first with an outreach to management at the New York Jets. Their plea to nullify Vick's contract with the Jets appears to have fallen on deaf ears.
The group then took to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Tumblr with photographs depicting household pets expressing their displeasure with the New York Jets for signing Vick. The campaign launched under the hashtag Kick Out Vick, and the group just released an info-graphic detailing the stats from both his football career and from his grisly dog fighting activities.
"Michael Vick has had two careers. He deserves recognition for both," the The Michael Vick Score Cards info-graphic read.
Among the "highlight reel" detailed in the info-graphic:
Six dogs killed in "testing" for insufficient aggressiveness
Two dogs hosed down, then electrocuted to death
Three dogs hanged to death by a nylon cord between two trees
Three dogs drowned to death in a five gallon bucket of water
One dog slammed to the ground until its back was broken
