Adam Lambert cast in 'Glee' and to perform with Queen in fall

American Idol season 8 runner-up winner Adam Lambert’s fall season is going to be a quite busy one. It was announced on July 10 that Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter and actor Adam Lambert has joined the cast of “Glee” for its fifth season.

In his interview on “Live with Kelly and Michael,” Chris Colfer (who portrays Kurt Hummel on the hit television comedic drama series “Glee”) revealed that Adam’s role on “Glee” is going to be a villainous one, since he is expected to play his character’s “nemesis.”
Throughout his career, Adam has had the good fortune to perform with rock band Queen on several occasions. The first time was at the Season 8 American Idol finale with Kris Allen, and they he sang with the iconic rock group in 2011 at the MTV Europe Music awards in Belfast; moreover, he is expected to play with Brian May and Roger Taylor from Queen again at the iHeartRadio Music Festival at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas on September 20, 2013.
Finally, it was indicated in an article in Rolling Stone Magazine that Adam is a guest vocalist on “Lay Me Down,” a track on Swedish DJ Avicii’s forthcoming studio album “True.”
