Minnesota resident Nadalie Thomas managed to videotape an ice splintering phenomenon, which is rarely seen, that occurred at a Minnesota Lake.

According to LaughingSquid, some locals refer to the phenomenon as "chanderliering Ice."
According to Fox, the process involves piles of ice splintering into tiny shards, and eventually reaches the state when ice first crystallizes.
According to WTVR, the event occurred on Medicine Lake in Plymouth.
Since the video has been put on YouTube, it has been viewed more than 200,000 times.
