It was co-written by such country singer-songwriters as Dustin Lynch (James’ label-mate), Josh Thompson and Steve Bogard.
The song's lyric video has garnered well over 23,000 views on James' YouTube channel.
As of April 7, “Thank A Farmer” has made its way into the Top 50 on the Mediabase Country charts.
Vocally, it is one of the most compelling songs of James’ career since his equally moving ballad “Real” and he sings “Thank a Farmer” with a lot of heart and gratitude.
In summation, James Wesley is the epitome of grace in country music and he comes back stronger than ever with his current single “Thank a Farmer.” It is by far one of the best singles released this year and James is definitely one of the most underrated vocalists in the country genre. This song is exactly what country radio needs at the moment, since it pays tribute to an ever-important population, the American farmers, for all of their hard work.
In return, it is safe to say that country radio and fans ought to thank James Wesley for recording such a poignant and well-crafted song. “Thank a Farmer” garners an A+ rating and it deserves well more than just a passing glance.
