Naked ziplining as 84 Canadian women bare down for good cause
Eighty-four brave and community-minded women in Peachland, near Penticton in the Canadian province of B.C., went ziplining for a cause Thursday. They were raising money for breast cancer research and most did it naked.

The event took place at the Deep Creek Gorge in Peachland and as the Peachland
News reported, the women zipped 380 feet over the magnificent gorge, many wearing nothing but the harness and a pair of sunglasses.
Not all but most were naked or wore body paint so the event wasn't open to the public and all of the guides were female. To begin, each ziplining fundraiser was given basic instructions - most had never ziplined before - and guides helped fit them into their harness. Then the 84 simply stood and waited their turn.

It is the 2nd straight year ZipZone Adventure Park has sponsored the event and the News reports that last year only a few took part. The event blew up to 84 this year, with participants ranging in age from their teens to 73-year-old, Helen Saunders. Top Five fundraisers in the group combined for $5,030 while the group as a whole raised over $15,000 for breast cancer research.
There was a special reason for Saunders to participate, she lost a breast to the disease 23 years ago. “I’ve lived 23 years longer than maybe I should have,” she told the News. “I celebrate every year because it’s another year I’ve lived that maybe I wouldn’t have had.”
Saunders, who went down twice, each time with her top off to show strength, said she'd zipline again for the cause "in a heartbeat."
