The Sydney Writers’ Festival runs from 14 to 20 May 2012, although confusingly there are also events listed for 12 and 13 May. From 21 to 25 May there are special events for school children.
Some events require a ticket, whilst others are free. Some free events require bookings.
There is an extensive line up of both national and international writers, including Pulitzer and Man Booker Prize-winners.
The main festival location is Walsh Bay in central Sydney. Some events will be held at other locations throughout Sydney and further afield in New South Wales.
The festival has an excellent website which provides all the information about which writers are taking part - where and when.
