Aldo, the 23 year Brazilian champion, delivered punishing leg welts that neutralized Urijah Faber for five rounds at World Extreme Cagefighting 48.
Aldo's leg kicks were used to setup a superb attack combination of standup strikes and takedowns. The vicious offensive was so relentless that Faber had to be carried into his corner at the end of the third round.
"I can't get anything going" Faber gasped in between rounds.
"It was a tough fight", conceded Faber (23-4) in a Sportsnet report, a Sacramento native, known as the "California Kid".
Jose Aldo's fight record improves to 17 wins with 1 loss.
