One of Canada's leading UFO researchers declares there were 736 reported UFO sightings across the country last year.

Chris Rutkowski says the 2006 Canadian UFO Survey recorded the third largest number of sightings in its 17-year history.
British Columbia and Ontario had the highest number of recorded UFO cases, and Saskatchewan had an all-time record of 98 sightings.

The small town of Maidstone, just east of the Alberta boundary, accounted for more than half of the Saskatchewan sightings.
The most mysterious cases include a large, black V-shaped object moving over the Newfoundland coastline last August. Another was reported by the motorist outside of North Bay, Ontario who said he saw blue lights zipping past his car and hovering in the trees.

I didn't realize Canada took its UFOs so seriously. Obviously, there is still a great deal of interest in unexplained phenomena.
