Tandem Light Press and 220 Publishing Present Midwest "Write, Pitch, Publish: The Innovative Writers Conference" April 7th in Milwaukee

Literary Agent Manuscript Review Submissions Due Date February 20

Feb. 13, 2018 / PRZen / MILWAUKEE -- Write, Pitch, Publish: The Innovative Writers Conference, a Milwaukee-area literary full-day conference designed to provide support and insight to up-and-coming writers, this week announced the conference will officially take place on April 7th in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

For those wishing to submit their manuscript for a critique by a literary agent through the event, the conference this week announced there is a February 20, 2018 deadline for submissions – manuscripts do not have to be completed in full.

"This event is for every person who has ever said to themselves, 'I have always wanted to publish, but I don't know where to begin,'" said Dr. Pamela Larde, conference coordinator. "People often feel intimidated to share their manuscripts, before they're completed, with professionals. With this event, we're determined to tear down those barriers."

Nine speakers in total will deliver talks during the event on the power of storytelling, self-editing, literary agents and the book deal, business savvy authorship, modern day publishing, persistence, writing with integrity, building a speaking platform, and the film industry.

Both individual and group critiquing sessions are available to interested writers. The event morning will start with Power Talks followed by one-on-one pitch and critique sessions, query letter critiques, and manuscript critiques.

"For any writer with questions regarding literary agents, publishing, manuscript editing and completion, and self-book promotion, this event is for you," said Dr. Larde. "Spread the word on our forthcoming writer's event and consider joining us for a day filled with invaluable manuscript-based information."

The Innovative Writers Conference will take place at the Milwaukee Area Technical College: Cooley Theater. Registration is now available for the event, with multiple ticket packages available.
