Improving Quality Of Life Through Education Is A Priority Of The John P. Previti Memorial Foundation

John P. Previti Memorial Foundation recently awarded donations to various youth-oriented non-profit organizations.

Nov. 29, 2017 / PRZen / RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. -- Philanthropic efforts by the John P. Previti Memorial Foundation is making an immediate and positive impact on young people throughout Southern California. The Foundation recently awarded donations to various youth-oriented non-profit organizations aligned with education who answered a call for grant submissions. Education is one of four categories supported by the Foundation, also including at-risk youth, children's well-being and recovery/assistance.

"We are honored to support non-profit organizations who share in our vision and passion for improving the quality of life of local families and children in need," said Christina Previti, Board Member of the John P. Previti Memorial Foundation. "Education is a vital tool to help create ladders for opportunity for at-risk youths, homeless students and students growing up in low-income communities where it is easy to fall behind their peers.  There are so many organizations who are doing great things for our community it is a privilege to be able to offer meaningful assistance."

The list of organizations who have received donations include a range of non-profit charities who work to improve opportunities for our children's education and brighten the lives of struggling families and children.

Boys & Girls Club of Menifee Valley - $10,000 General Fund, before and after school services for the city's youth, with goals of providing tools to succeed, opening doors and transforming lives by providing a safe place where young people can be themselves and experience opportunities not otherwise possible.

Inland Empire United Way - $5,000 Kids Pack, addressing childhood hunger and food insecurity with weekend food needs in the High Desert; $5,000 Launch Point, inspire and equip students with information and needed resources to finish high school with a viable plan for a living-wage career.

Hope Through Housing - $10,000 Tools for Success, providing low-income and high-risk youths with school supplies.

Colonies Holiday Miracles, $10,000 annual event, bringing the community together to help struggling families financially during the holidays by supporting 200 children living in poverty in San Bernardino County.

Juniper Elementary School $5,000 Literacy, Communication and Character program (2017-2018), purchasing books for the school library to be read at school or home, focusing on literacy, a crucial socioeconomic factor of poverty.

Since 2009, the John P. Previti Memorial Foundation and Frontier Communities have donated more than $2 million to area non-profit organizations and charities, as well as built and rehabilitated more than 5,000 distressed and foreclosed homes transforming them into beautifully-restored, owner-occupied homes for families and first-time buyers.
