E-Cigarette Explosion Lawsuit Cases Increase, As California Woman Claims Exploding E-Cig Caused Devastating Car Fire

LipsigLawyers.com’s Marc Freund commented on a recent development in Victorville, California, where an exploding e-cigarette caused a traumatic car fire on June 26th, 2016. Freund notes that e-cigarette explosions have occurred more frequently in recent years, typically leaving users with severe burns, cuts, and emotional trauma. Furthermore, Attorney Freund wishes the victim a speedy, complete recovery from the physical and emotional trauma sustained in the recent e-cig explosion.

A report from VVNG.com detailed the recent explosion in Victorville, stating that a local woman’s car was destroyed by a car fire that resulted from her e-cigarette exploding while she was visiting her friend. Thankfully, the woman did not sustain any injuries, and she described the incident stating “I went outside to my car and it was completely filled with smoke!” The victim was surprised when she learned that her vape box likely caused the accident, and hopes other users will keep their e-cigs out of hot areas, similar to that of her car.

This e-cigarette explosion marks the 22nd incident in California, which is the highest total for any U.S. state to date as reported by TheProductLawyers.com. Moreover, California has had more e-cig explosion incidents (22) than the combined totals from Arizona (11) and Florida (10), which are the states with the second and third highest number of such incidents in the United States.

Lipsig, Shapey, Manus, & Moverman are currently offering complimentary legal consultations to all e-cig explosion victims, in an attempt to provide all affected individuals with extensive legal support and counsel. Attorney Freund and the law firm note that some individuals may be entitled to substantial financial compensation and encourages all victims to explore their legal rights.
