In the Heat of the Night Cast Members to Appear at Heat Homecoming Event October 10, 2015

Alan Autry, Maureen Dowdell and other In The Heat of the Night cast members to appear at Heat Homecoming event complete with meet and greet, themed activities and other surprises for fans.

Sep. 21, 2015 / PRZen / COVINGTON, Ga. -- Fans and enthusiasts of the hit TV show "In the Heat of the Night" are invited to the historic square in downtown Covington, GA to take a step back into the fictional town of Sparta, MS and meet the stars of the show.

Cast members scheduled to appear are Alan Autry (Capt. Bubba Skinner), Maureen Dowdell (Nurse Tracy Boggs), Randall Franks (Officer Randy Goode), Afemi Omilami (Jimmy Dawes), and Dee Shaw (Capt. Dee Shepard).

From 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, visitors are invited to the historic courthouse for a formal meet and greet with cast members. Fans are encouraged to have lunch from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm around Covington Square at various downtown restaurants offering discounts for event attendees.

From 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, informal photo opportunities and autograph sessions with stars from the show will be available. A marathon screening of "In The Heat of the Night" episodes and self-guided tours of the filming locations within walking distance of the square will add to the day of nostalgia for fans.

Additional shopping and dining is encouraged on the square from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Mystic Grill will offer a special Heat Homecoming menu for customers. Shops and restaurants around the square will have special offers and memorabilia To conclude the event, the local band Drive Time will entertain fans with a concert featuring songs from the TV show.
