Romanian left bounces back in election: exit polls

Romania's left came a clear first in parliamentary elections Sunday, exit polls showed, a year after a deadly nightclub fire forced them from office.

The Social Democrats (PSD) won around 45 percent of the vote, the polls showed, well ahead of the centre-right National Liberal Party (PNL) on 20 percent.
