Donald Trump mocks face of rival candidate Carly Fiorina

His remarks come in an article up on the Rolling Stone magazine website. The story said he was watching Fiorina, one of 17 GOP candidates and the only woman running, on television when he got nasty and, arguably inappropriately, personal.

“Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?” the story quoted Mr. Trump as saying. “I mean, she’s a woman, and I’m not s’posedta say bad things, but really, folks, come on. Are we serious?”

He is also quoted saying “Look at that face? Would anyone vote for that?”

Trump, who continues with a healthy lead in the polls, was interviewed by Sean Hannity on Fox News today, this after his remarks were on the Rolling Stone website, but Hannity did not ask him about what he’d said.

However, Trump offered some remarks about his own appearance though. “I haven’t even looked at a mirror so I hope I’m okay,” he said. “I hope I look fine.” Hannity said that he did.

Not the first time Trump has taken shots at Fiorina, formerly the chief executive at the Hewlett-Packard Co. Last month the billionaire real estate tycoon said that she was headache inducing. “I just realized that if you listen to Carly Fiorina for more than 10 minutes straight, you develop a massive headache,” he tweeted.

“She has zero chance!”

Ms. Fiorina herself was later interviewed on Fox and said that she thought Trump attacking the way she looks is a sign that he’s nervous about her closing the gap on him. “I’m getting under his skin a little bit,” she said. “Because I’m climbing in the polls,”

She has moved up in polls slightly of late but to date hasn’t polled more than 9 percent during this nomination season, while more often Trump polls at 30 percent and has now jumped up to 32 percent.
